Working at the Intersection of Harm Reduction, Homelessness, and Domestic Violence

As part of the "Bridging Care for People Who Use Drugs" sessions with the Opioid Response Network (ORN), NHRC hosted the free webinar, "Working at the Intersection of Harm Reduction, Homelessness, and Domestic Violence." This training explored how sexual and intimate partner violence intersects with the experience of being unhoused and/or using substances. Attendees had the opportunity to discuss how applying a harm reduction and trauma-informed framework to their work with survivors can support their empowerment, well-being, and self efficacy. The "Bridging Care for People Who Use Drugs" sessions focused on mental health and substance use impacts and stigma, person-centered engagement, and structural determinants of health impacts on access to services.
