Vakil historical bath of Shiraziran(2024): سیل جمعیت در حمام وکیل شیراز

Vakil Bath or Garmabe Vakil was built by Karim Khan Zand in the Zandiyeh period. This bath is located on Lotfali Khan Zand Street, in the heart of Shiraz city and near other buildings of the Zandian era, such as Vakil Bazaar and Vakil Mosque. This bath of this building is located in the west of the Vakil Mosque and has 8,660 meters of floor space, which was built by the talented architects of Doran Zandiyeh. This bath is in the shape of a regular octagon, with eight solid stone columns placed in the middle of a domed roof. This vast bath, like other Iranian bathrooms, benefits from the most advanced and principled architecture of its time. For example, the entrance to the bathroom is small and leads with a gentle slope to the entrance vestibule, which is located below the ground level. The entrance to the dressing room is made at an angle and all these considerations were to prevent the cold from entering and the heat from leaving the bathroom. The hot house is covered with cobblestones, but it is interesting to note that under the cobblestones there are narrow corridors where warm air and water vapor flow in order to heat the bathroom floor faster. In the south of the warm house, there is a treasury, which had two large pots for heating water. On both sides of the warm area, there are two king's houses and on both sides of the treasury are two rulers' houses. A marble basin can be seen in the middle of each ruler.
