Please find this product at http://absupply.net/ This video is to bring you a closer look at the Pemko 324A. This is a piece of sill nosing. The 324 is representative of the profile of this item. You can see from the drawing down below that is 3-1/2" wide and lets check that now. Yes, 3-1/2". The height is not given there in the extended drawing, nor does it on the printable cut sheet, but we can look at that at about 3/16" I would say. The "A" in the part number stands for mill aluminum finish and that is what this is. It has a grooved or fluted top and is available in all the common finishes. Aluminum, gold, satin nickel, dark bronze, and then the part number changes and the letter will change to correspond with the finish. So the "D" would be dark bronze and "G" would be gold, or bright dipped gold "BDG" is what it would be, SN for Satin Nickel. Available in several different lengths on the website. If you have a need for a custom length, by all means let us know by ordering the next longest piece or pieces and indicate in the comment field what length you would like for us to cut the material back to. This isn't particularly difficult to cut, it is just possibly one more step of the installation process that you would prefer not to be involved in. So if you know you actual lengths, we would be happy to trim them for you. They are being cut to length anyway so we can just as easily cut it to length. Now, where you are going to use this is in a variety of sorts of installations. Because it is generally intended to be held down with a mastic or some sort of construction adhesive, there are no holes to drill, but that doesn't mean that you can't or cannot drill holes in it. You can, you can countersink it and get yourself some holes. For people who are going to use this as mostly for cosmetic reasons, but obviously to finish off a sill. They might have a stone sill in an 8" and they have a 4-9/16" wide jamb and a small threshold and they need to finish that off in some way that makes it look aesthetically appealing. So this is a generic item in the sense that it can be used for a lot of applications. I've had people rip these down to make them a custom size or whatever the need is. There is no hard and fast rules of when and when not to use this. If it solves your problem, then that is the appropriate item. So that is part of why this item is used and that is why it is called sill nosing.
