"Kaguya's sin is originally my sin. If she truly wishes, I would even kill gods to fulfill her wishes." -Eirin Yagokoro in the doujin "Queen Milenia" by Demour402 High Definition (Best image quality, worst framerate) • Imperishable Playthrough:Eirin Yagoko... High Quality (Best framerate, worst image quality) • Imperishable Playthrough:Eirin Yagoko... A video of me doing pretty (amazingly) good against lunarian genius, Eirin Yagokoro Eirin Yagokoro (her name strike fear on us humans) is one of the Final bosses of Imperishable Night, the 8th installment of the Touhou Project. This "Project" is a series of 14 ½ games consisting of 8 ½ normal danmaku shooters, 2 vs. danmaku shooters variation, one spin-off danmaku game, 2 fighting games, and a discordant note. All in all, a monopoly in the Japanese industry of STG. The owner of the franchise? ZUN. His mission? World domination through the doujin games. True story. This is it people, one of the two last video of this playthrough. I decided to do both Final Bosses and release them at the same time. Unfortunately, Eirin is merely a practice run while Kaguya is my first actual 1cc of a Lunatic Touhou game (though I heard PoFV is very easy with Medicine in Lunatic.) I find Eirin's to be more epic, even if it is only because of the music. "Gensokyo Millennium ~ History of the Moon" is one of those composition that makes fighting even a FOE an epic ordeal. I think it fits nicely with the vision I have of Eirin: that of a wise Lunarian with a regal air surrounding her. You just stand there looking up at her with the (fake) moon behind her. Her hair is fluttering with the wind; she has a calm expression (think Reimu), looking down at you while holding in her hands her bow and an arrow. Your thought: "Shit" She's like one of those Badass Grandma, only that young, given her elf-like attributes and all. In the immortal words of Tvtropes: "'Experience and treachery will beat youth and enthusiasm every time'. In short: old men in a dangerous line of work have been doing it for a very long time." And she lives up to that quote too. She's older than the 1400~ years old Kaguya and she's considered by many (and me) a much harder boss in general. Changing the subject which I lost somewhere in my writing, Eirin's is normally depicted as also having drank the Hourai Elixir. However this is not necessarily true. Is never mentioned she drank it, unlike Kaguya, who hints at it, and Mokou, who flatly say so. She also received a lesser punishment than Kaguya, though it can be argued that due to her status in the Lunarian society her punishment was lessen, since she is considered the greatest medical mind in existence and was instrumental in the foundation of said society along the side of the freaking Japanese god of the moon, or at least the Lunarian based on said god, Tsukuyomi. So yeah... Eirin just kick ass and I like her character overall. Can't say my favorite in Eientei since you just can't compete against Tewi and, in my case, against Reisen. Plus she uses poor Reisen as a guinea pig D= P.S: Let's face it, Voyage 1969 and 1970 are the same song with different instruments and tempo. I prefer using the only actual arrange I found of 1970 (a piano arrange) on Kaguya's stage than Eirin's. Mainly because I didn't found any arrange of Lunatic Princess I like beside the one I'm using..
