I woke up to my dishwasher being full of water and the control panel seemed dead - no power at all. The fix was pretty easy - took 15 minutes and a trip to the appliance parts store. **UPDATE** That black stuff on the wires was the melting insulation from the door - NOT electrical tape. The control panel wires had been overheating either from a poor soldering job at the factory or perhaps the water circulation motor was getting hung up due to a bad food chopper. So I replaced the control board and the chopper and so far so good. This is almost 100% why the fuse blew.
