The storm system today has picked up strength in the last 24 hours and is now tracking further to the north as well. This will bring more impacts to the 10TV viewing area this morning, possibly slowing your morning commute, and prompting a 10TV Weather Impact Alert Day to be issued once again. Snowfall and some wintry mix will be possible from the hours before sunrise through the midday before tapering off and clearing out. Impacts will be felt most from along and south of I-70, where anywhere from a trace to 2 inches or more of snow could be possible. The further south you travel, some sleet or light icing may also be possible. Add extra time to your commute now and prepare for possible slick spots, especially on bridges and overpasses. After the blast of rain and snow today, a larger system is developing for the rest of the week. The main system will remain stationary to our west, allowing warmer air to move in as highs reach the 50s and 60s Tuesday through Thursday. Although it will be warm, waves of energy will move out from the main system, bringing several rounds of rain to Ohio. There is potential for heavy rainfall, with more than 2 inches possible over the next week. Additionally, some thunderstorms possible from Wednesday through next weekend, as temperatures keep rising toward 70 by the end of the week. With heavy rainfall in the forecast, there may be some concerns for flooding, especially with some of the smaller creeks and rivers. Our 10 Weather Impact team will be watching the trends closely all week long!
