Tour of Lugu Lake 2018 Held in Southwest China

The Tour of Lugu Lake 2018 international cycling race was held in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Sichuan Province on Sunday. More than 200 cyclists from home and abroad joined the race that took place around the very scenic area of Lugu Lake. Located at the border of southwest China's Yunnan and Sichuan provinces, Lugu Lake, with an area of 50,000 square meters, is renowned for its beautiful scenery and the indigenous Mosuo people's unique matriarchal system which has been observed for more than 2,000 years. The racing track stretches over 52 kilometers around the lake at an average altitude of more than 2,700 meters. It goes through mountain roads, provincial roads and rural roads and has steep slopes, sharp turns and long downhill slopes, making it quite challenging for the cyclists. Simultaneously, a Mosuo wedding culture-themed activity also took place on the same day. A total of 66 couples from across the country, dressed in traditional Mosuo wedding clothes, held a special wedding ceremony to experience the unique Mosuo wedding traditions. http://www.cctvplus.com/news/20180917...
