Today on Midwest Homesteading… we did NOT expect this. 😳🐄🐄 A brand new set of twin calves was born on the farm — our first set of live twins — and while that should be exciting news, there’s a serious problem… their mother is rejecting BOTH babies. That means we have to move fast. The first 24–48 hours are critical for newborn calves, and without their mama accepting them, every decision matters right now — feeding, warmth, colostrum, and constant checking to make sure they have a real chance. These twins are absolutely adorable, but farm life can turn serious in a moment, and today becomes all about doing everything possible to help them survive. Will both calves make it? Can we get them strong enough without their mother?
