I practice at The Gallery of Cosmetic Surgery in Lynnwood Washington just north of Seattle. Today I'm here to talk about Rhinoplasty. There's been a lot of talk about non-surgical corrections of the nose and most of that comes from volume or adding fillers. So, a lot of times fillers can be added to what we call the Dorsum of the nose or the portion of the nose between the eyebrows or the top in between the eyes. Injectables can be done there to kind of fill that space, to soften a dorsal hump or a big bump on the nose or sometimes even in the tip of the nose to get the tip to be a little more elevated. Sometimes the appearance can be changed if someone has a real active muscle pull in the lower portion of the nose by the nostril where it tends to pull the tip down. A little Botox or Neuromodulator can be injected there to soften that depression to allow the tip to rotate so it's a little more upright. Not too far but just enough to give it projection. Now the downside to them is that they are short term and they would need to be periodically re-evaluated and re-assessed and procedures done again. Sometimes they can be used though as a, "Well let's take a look if you'd like something like this to be done.", as a predecessor for a more surgical, permanent correction.
