ATL - Way to Innovation, Nirman - Learning through Tinkering: 17-02-2026 from 3.20pm to 4.00pm TITLE: WHEN VOLTAGE TALKS, CURRENT WALKS (Innovative Teaching of Ohm’s Law Using Storytelling, Animation, and ATL Activities) Introduction: To make the abstract concept of Ohm’s Law simple, engaging, and conceptually clear for students, we have designed an innovative, story-based teaching approach integrated with animation, simulation, and ATL (Atal Tinkering Lab) activities. This method focuses on experiential learning, visualization, and student interaction rather than rote memorization. What We Are Doing: We are teaching Ohm’s Law through a story-based narration using animal characters, supported by pictures, animation/GIFs, simulations, and hands-on ATL activities. The lesson is structured to move from imagination → visualization → scientific concept → real-time application. Concept Explanation through Story: The story uses the following characters: Deer represents Electric Current (I) – it moves or flows. Reindeer represents Voltage (V) – it provides energy or push. Panda King represents Resistance (R) – it controls or restricts the flow. In the story, a small deer wants to come out of a den to reach light. The reindeer encourages and pushes it forward, while the panda king inside the den gradually blocks the pathway by increasing its size. As the panda grows bigger, the pathway becomes narrower, and the deer’s movement slows down. This narration clearly demonstrates how resistance affects current and how voltage influences the flow. Scientific concept– Ohm’s Law After the narration, the story is directly linked to science using Ohm’s Law: V = I × R Increase in voltage increases current. Increase in resistance decreases current. And finally ask to students... some fun generated questions... For more involving of our concept.... Thus, students clearly understand the cause-and-effect relationship between voltage, current, and resistance.... The story is presented by animation and our concept making by simulation and also physical activity..... P. Sailaja KGBV, JOGIMPETA Pavrthipuram Manyam...
