"The Enchanted Cottage" concerto by Roy Webb - RKO 1945 TOS

Roy Webb was RKO's Music Director and chief composer during the heyday of that studio and he is best known today for his Val Lewton horror film scores as well as his soundtracks for several Film noir classics. His style was unusually subtle for the period and he was influenced by the French and English Impressionistic composers such as Debussy and Delius. He wrote a concerto for his film " The Enchanted Cottage," which was released on vinyl and popular in its day but is mostly forgotten now. It needs a new recording. The visuals for this video are taken from films mostly scored by Roy Webb at RKO in the 1940s including "The Enchanted Cottage," "Cat People," "I Walked with a Zombie," "The Seventh Victim," "Curse of the Cat People," "Isle of the Dead," "The Body Snatcher" and "Out of the Past." Cinematographers include Nicholas Musuraca, Ted Tetzlaff, J. Roy Hunt, Robert De Grasse and Jack MacKenzie. This is the original soundtrack and I don't know the name of the pianist.
