How To Checkmate with a King and Empress/Chancellor // Fairy Chess Tutorial // Blunderfish 64 In this tutorial, we will be looking at the King and Empress VS King endgame. We will start by creating an invisible 'line of constraint' that the enemy king cannot cross, and by keeping our empress the 'magic distance' (a Camel's move, or 1-2-3-turn) away from the enemy king, we will force the king to the edge of the board and eventually to a corner. We will then bring our own king into the action, placing him so that he is two squares away from the enemy king, covering important squares so that the empress can deliver the final blow.
