On Friday, December 12th, 2025 I went out to railfan the NYC Subway for the first time in a very long time (Last time I can remember was in 2021). I went out to the 42nd Street Port Authority Bus Terminal Station in Midtown Manhattan expecting the typical PM Rush Action along the IND 8th Avenue lines (A, C & E). However, chaos erupted when a train became disabled near 81st Street on the Central Park West line. A trains ran local from 125th Street to 59th Street. C trains remained mostly the same however many trains did use the express track here at 42nd Street. Lastly, several B and D trains were rerouted via the 8th Avenue line due to the disabled train. Overall it was a chaotic yet fun outing, with a variety of R68, R160, R179 and R211 equipment seen here. Enjoy the video!
