Apurva Verma, an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) from CR Park, Delhi, has successfully cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination with an impressive All India Rank 42. Originally from Champaran, Bihar, Apurva balanced her demanding responsibilities in the Delhi Police while preparing for the prestigious exam. She cleared the UPSC exam in her second attempt, using online resources for efficient study while continuing her policing duties. Her experience as an ACP in Ambedkar Nagar, South Delhi, helped sharpen her strategic thinking, which she says also helped during the UPSC interview. Apurva credited her family support and encouragement from her senior officers, who granted her leave to prepare for the exam.
