This video is long overdue as the one issue I really have with using the FTX Mauler is the steering circle. Well, that's a thing of the past now. She has AWS now, and turns on a sixpence. To do this mod couldn't really be easier. Just order everything from the front axle connected to the steering plus the shorter front axle shafts, and assemble on the rear axle. The basic axles are the same, so it's really straightforward. For wiring it all in, I watched this video because I share a Flysky GT5 radio with this chap, 2FM RC, so it was very helpful. • FSGT5 in the SCX24, how I set up 4ws The GT5 allows me to alter how the servos work by simply rotating the dial on the radio - front only, rear only, crabbing or opposing movement for really tight turning. Parts list: FTX 8784 - steering and servo link pieces (metal part only) £4.41 FTX 8787 - front drive shafts 84mm+75.5mm £5.24 FTX 8752 - c hubs (carriers) and bushings £3.79 FTX 8753 - Hub Carriersx2 £3.33 FTX 8754 - servo plate £3.79 FTX 8773 - link ends for steering links £4.74 FTX 8789 - metal axle rods £5.69 FTX 8793 - metal ball ends (short) £3.79 plus bolts Maybe not the £15 I talk about - my boyish enthusiasm - but even £30 + servo isn't too bad for what I'm hoping is a serious performance upgrade!
