6th European Political Community Summit Held in Tirana The 6th European Political Community (EPC) Summit is taking place at Skanderbeg Square in Tirana, bringing together leaders from EU member states and non-EU European countries. Participants and Representation The summit hosts heads of state and government from 27 EU countries, as well as candidate countries Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, and Türkiye. Kosovo, as a potential candidate, is also represented. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan represents Türkiye at the summit. Additionally, leaders from the UK, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Andorra, Liechtenstein, Monaco, and San Marino are participating. Agenda of the Summit The summit's first session will feature a general meeting where leaders will discuss a shared vision for Europe's future. Following this, three roundtable discussions will address: European Security and Democratic Resilience, with a focus on the war in Ukraine. Competitiveness and Economic Security. Mobility within Europe and Youth Empowerment. Foundation and Previous Summits The European Political Community was established on Europe Day in 2022, based on a proposal by French President Emmanuel Macron. The first summit took place in the Czech Republic on October 6, 2022. The second summit was held on June 1, 2023, in Moldova. The third summit was hosted in Spain on October 5, 2023. The fourth summit took place in the UK on July 18, 2024. The fifth summit was held in Hungary on November 7, 2024. The next (7th) summit is scheduled to be held in Denmark. The EPC summits are held twice a year, aiming to foster dialogue and cooperation on critical European issues.
