EASY and SAVORY Zhajiangmian at Home | Chinese Fried Sauce Noodles There are many versions of Zhajiangmian (fried sauce noodles) in China. This recipe is close to Beijing style, very savory and umami with soy bean sauce and sweet flour sauce. I also call it Chinese meat sauce you may serve with rice too. Ling’s instagram: / chinesecookingbyling Ingredients: 8 oz ground pork (or beef) 1 green onion, chopped finely 1/2 cucumber, julienned 2 packs of Chinese dried noodles (or other noodles) avocado oil or vegetable oil For the sauce: 2 tbsp soy bean sauce 1 tbsp sweet flour sauce 1 tsp sugar 1 tbsp cooking wine 1/4 cup water Instructions: 1. Heat up oil over high heat, and fry the pork for a few minutes till golden brown. Set aside. 2. Turn the heat to low, add more oil, and pour the sauce in. 3. When the sauce is bubbling, cover it and simmer about 5 minutes. 4. Combine the port with the sauce, and simmer about another 5 minutes. 5. Garnish with the white part of the green onion. 6. Boil the noodles to al dente, and place in a bowl. 7. Dress the noodles with the cucumber and sauce. Serve!
