The area is famous for its hot thermal springs used in nearby wellness hotels. Sulusaray is particularly renowned for its healing and historical thermal springs; the water from these springs is beneficial for many ailments such as rheumatism and joint pain, and the town's name comes from the sulfurous water that emerges from the palace ruins here. Geothermal baths create a special connection between the body and the water. A new physiotherapy center opened in 2025. Sulusaray's most important attraction is the ancient city of Sebastopolis, an important settlement during the Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine periods. The area around the Çekerek River is known for its rich biodiversity and Uyuz Lake, which provides an ideal environment for birdwatching.
