In this video I talk about the C-Log Video settings I use on the EOS R5, EOS R6 as well as the difference between ALL-I vs IPB Compression, how to use the Histogram, and how to slightly overexpose for video to reduce noise in the footage. In a follow up video I will show you have color correct your C-Log footage from scratch without LUTs. Canon Log has been in Canon Cinema EOS cameras from the very beginning.  C-Log enables up to 12 stops of dynamic range, reduces heavy shadows and blown-out highlights, and provides an even better source file from which to perform extensive color grading in post-production. Internal recordings using Canon Log are 8-bit, and 10bit for external in 4k only - for today we will only deal with 8bit internal recording. On my C200, I actually shooting Canon Log Over C-Log 3 to easily match the two cameras in post, if I choose to use LUTs they are very similar right out the gate.
