A RARE LOOK INSIDE HOPWOOD HALL EST 1426 🌟🌟Hopwood Hall is a Grade II* historic house in Middleton, Greater Manchester, England, which was the ancestral country home of the Hopwoods, landed gentry who held it from the 12th century. Hopwood Hall was founded as a moated site. Later, the property had pleasure grounds and an extensive park with scattered woods. Features in the grounds included a kitchen garden, ice house, ha-ha, Italian garden, fountain, corn mill and small cross-shaped bower or grotto. The original house dates back to 1426 and the wood used to construct it was already 200 years old 😮 meaning the tree's used had to be growing in the 1200s !! That's some serious history. The hopwood family last lived here in 1926 having occupied the grounds for the last 500 years. The house has had a lot of use's since 1926 even bein used as a training collage for Catholic monk's.
