Let's Play Preserve. Gameplay. Tutorials Enabled. In this Let's Play video, we will be playing Preserve (Early Access Release). This game is a Strategy Puzzle Nature Builder (City Builder Like) similar to "Terrascape", "Dorfromanik", "Terra Nil", "Islander", "Urbo", "Reus 2", "Simmi Land", and "Teeny Tiny Town". It's a relaxing cozy chill vibe game that uses some card mechanics to create your habitat and place animals. The card mechanic is to make the game more randomized (like Tetris), but there is NO deck building mechanic. Currently there are three biomes that you can play with: Continental (Forest and Mountains), Savanna, and Marine. Each biome has a unique mechanic that plays different from the other. Create habitats to house up to 3 animals. Habitats are created when you have at least 3 tiles of the same type touching each other. The first 3 tiles allows you to house 1 animal, 6 tiles allows you to house 2 animals, and 12 tiles let's you house 3 animals. 3 animals of the same type gets you bonus points (+30) and 3 different animals gets you a bigger bonus (+60). Note: I forgot to take advantage of the 3 different animal bonus while playing. As you earn points, you'll unlock land tiles that need to be placed on the board to expand the map upon reaching certain Harmony Milestones. You also get new random cards (habitat, animals, recycle) for reaching the Harmony Milestones. Once you understand the mechanics of the game, it's quite fun and challenging trying to get the best placements to get the highest score possible.
