Owl Chouette is an Owl cafe in Osaka located near Dotonbori river. It’s a woodland themed cafe that has an area where you can sit with a drink and an area where you can get up close to the owls. Not only can you pet them, you can also rest an owl on your body for an additional charge. Adults are ¥2,200 per hour, 4 - 12 years old ¥1,100 per hour and 0 - 3 years old are free. If you wish to have an owl rest on your body it is ¥2,500 per hour for adults and ¥1,400 per hour for 4 - 12 year olds. One free drink is included in the price and there’s a variety of merchandise you can purchase during your visit. Names of the owls are on the website. These owls are well looked after and very clean. You get to interact with them on a minimal basis, gently stroking the back of their head. They are very tame and used to be touched. Opening hours are 12:00 - 19:00 weekdays (last entry at 18:00, and 11:00 - 19:00 weekends and holidays (last entry at 18:00). You can turn up without making a reservation, but it would be advised to make one to avoid disappointment on their website.
