Since 2010, when slacklining has become more popular as a mountain sport, Samuel Volery has been pushing the field of possibilities with highlining. Living in Switzerland, Sam did many iconic projects. Multiple of his world record attempts have been crushed by lightning.. Causing the highline to snap because of the electric force in the air. Samual has broken multiple world records slacklining, became Swiss jumpline champion, published hundreds of slackline tutorials on YouTube, is one of the founders of the currently most popular slackline discipline; highline freestyle and developed unmissable slackline gear. Slackliners see him as the legend, the greatest slackliner of all time. This film portrays his journey through the different disciplines he has been pushing; jumplining, world record length highlines and the current spectacular and popular ‘freestyle highlining’. At the age of 40, Samuel still competes in the world championships. And he is the only one being able to do a solid handstand on the highline in competition.
