You left too soon

I rarely write songs apart from songs of worship, however I do write a lot of poetry that are simply expressions of the heart. This song, "You left too soon", came about recently when a dear brother in Christ lost his father. It brought back so many memories of when I lost my own father many years ago. There seems to always be so much we wish we would have said or done, but death is so final for our human minds to try to process. To God's glory, as with my own father, My brother in Christ could say that his father had put his faith in Christ. So there is hope of meeting again, but for now the distance between our loved ones and us can seem so far. Thankfully it is written “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4
