Pool of Radiance part 7: icon adjustments and Podol Plaza

First off, I hadn’t bothered to adjust the character icons to show their weapons in battle. I stopped to do that before I started this video. After that I moved on into Podol Plaza. The mission was just to sneak in and find out about a weapon the enemy was auctioning off. I’m pretty sure that when I played this a long time ago I was able to cash in some jewels and buy the item myself. Most of the time if your thief is selected does the talking for the party you can get away with a lot as long as your thief has high charisma. Anyway, I just watched the auction this time around because someone else said you can’t do that in the DOS version. I went back to the City Hall to collect my reward. Then I returned to Podol Plaza to earn some experience points. I eventually go to the bar for the fight. Someone had said just put your best fighter against the brawler since the brawler is only a level 4 anyway, but I’ve always taken on the whole bar. I get more experience points that way. It was easy enough to clear the whole bar. I also get more items to sell after the fight and the income isn’t always kept up with what you need, so I had the weapons shop identify items for me. I do a couple more random battles and end up leveling my magic user up, plus one of my fighters.
