This 30-minute meditation is taken from my weekly Meditation Club class, where we explore various techniques to develop our skill of concentration (dharana) to access the meditative state (dhyana). We begin with pranayama (breathwork) to settle the nervous system and expand our capacity for presence. Today’s practice includes: • Double Inhale Lung Expansion with Retention – to awaken the breath and increase lung capacity • Kapalabhati (Skull Shining Breath) – a cleansing, energizing breath to clear stagnation and sharpen focus Please note: the microphone didn’t fully pick up the sound of my breath during these exercises. After breathwork, we move into silent seated meditation, gently resting our awareness on the felt sense of peace. No visualization. No effort. Just presence.
