This music version is highly regarded for its peaceful, melodic, and slow-paced style, often associated with Raag Darbari. The traditional Vaishnava bhajan "Jaya Radha Madhava" was written by the 19th-century saint and scholar Bhaktivinoda Thakura in his book Gitavali (Sri Krsnaer Vimsottara Sata Nama). While often associated with the popular rendition by Jagjit Singh, the lyrics are a traditional Bengali/Sanskrit prayer to Lord Krishna and Radha, frequently sung before Sri Mayapur-dhama discourse, notes this ISKCON Mayapur page. It describes the divine pastimes of Radha and Krishna in Vrindavana. Famous Singer: Jagjit Singh (who is also musician for this song) is widely recognized for his popular version. It was famously sung by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada before his lectures.
