📢 Today on World Peace Day, we launch our SCUK Young Peacemakers ‘Be a Peacemaker’ video – a powerful piece created in collaboration with young people who have experienced conflict, migration, and displacement. Through a collaboratively written poem, facilitated by Yemeni-British poet Amina Atiq, the Young Peacemakers share personal stories of leaving their home countries and resettling in the UK. Their words challenge harmful narratives, humanise the experiences of young migrants, and highlight the inequalities they continue to face. This video is not only a reflection of resilience, but a call to action. We urge the UK Government to act as a true Peacemaker – to protect children in the UK and around the world, uphold dignity and create a safer, more compassionate future for all those seeking safety.
