I wrote this song on a long plane ride, missing my kids and thinking about how much I love them. As a parent, loving your children isn’t always easy. Sometimes love means discipline. Sometimes love means letting them choose. Sometimes love means hoping with all your heart that they come back to what is right. And in that quiet time, I began to see something I had never seen before… When I think about Jesus opening the seals in Revelation, I don’t picture anger. I picture a loving Savior with the heart of a Father, doing what must be done, even though it hurts Him deeply.
