Today I'm discussing black women's dating struggles and giving interracial relationship advice. In this video, I’ll share my transition to becoming open to interracial dating. Dating a successful black man who was previously married (twice). He’s educated, the Vice President of a bank and a father, so everything looked good on paper. Until one day we got into a discussion about how an educated black man has more options than a black woman. Y'all I was HOT. 😡 What kind of guy throws that in your face? After that relationship, I explored interracial dating. But I was a bit hesitant to go too deep. I’d go on one or two dates then, I’d call it off. I don’t know, maybe its me, but I started thinking about all the things I’d have to explain when dating outside my race, like my hair texture, family traditions, etc. Funny thing is though, I ended up marrying a wonderful man (not chocolate). We also have an age gap. All the things I thought about my race would bother him, just don’t. Jorge loves me as his ONLY option. I can’t believe I worked myself up for nothing, cause I love this man to the moon and my interracial marriage! :) Can you relate?
