Just a day shy of Rockstar's planned debut for the first trailer of GTA VI, an account that has since been suspended leaked the trailer on X (previously known as Twitter). Originally slated to premiere on Tuesday, December 5th, at 9 AM ET, Rockstar swiftly reacted by promptly releasing the complete trailer on its official YouTube channel. The trailer serves as confirmation for various details that have gradually surfaced about GTA VI over the past two years. It confirms the Vice City setting and introduces the game's protagonist, marking the series' first female lead, characterized by elements inspired by the iconic Bonnie and Clyde story. The trailer boldly announces a scheduled release for 2025. Additionally, in a subsequent press release on Monday, Rockstar specified that the game is slated for launch on the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S in that same year. The unveiling of GTA VI has been marred by numerous leaks. Earlier this year, a UK teenager was identified as the culprit behind last year's leak, which disseminated 90 videos from the game's development process. Adding to the series of leaks, a TikTok video surfaced this week, purporting to contain leaked footage from the game, allegedly originating from a Rockstar employee's child.
