Huge Tree Almost Falls on Beverly Hills Mansion. Back again with yet another Beverly Hills mansion huge recovery! This time it was more on the preventative side, where a massive 85,000lb was uprooted. By a miracle, there was another huge tree right in front of that it landed on, instead of completely going over. Had it fully gone over, the recovery would have been a nightmare and a job for an actual huge crane. The tree was located right between two Beverly Hills mansions. One being around 8 million, and the other one 13 million. We were called by the crane company, who couldn't bring a crane big enough to handle the cutting due to the small streets and area. So they called Pepe's Tow, and we dispatched Alex in Big Flipper, our 75ton rotator. The goal was to cut the tree down in sections, but needed to be held and supported to prevent it from falling over while the arborist does the cutting. Big Flipper's tag axle raises up to allow excellent turning in tight areas which made getting to the scene easy. Being a 75ton rotator also came in handy here, even though we weren't lifting the tree off the ground, having that brute strength to hold the tree made the job very safe. The job wasn't too complicated, just very very long. Alex was on scene for hours, but was up to the task to make sure everyone went home safe. The other crane on scene was a 40ton, but it was a true crane that extends out over 100 feet. Once all was said and done, all that remained was a small stump. Our streak of tree jobs continues!
