For this summer’s Video Fishing Journal's, we're focusing on fishing heavy vegetation. And I chose a water body with the densest vegetation I could find. Why go half way, huh? Such seemingly overwhelming waters can be a challenge to fish, but they can also expose a key facet of bass' hunting behavior. A dense jungle of a pond can actually help us distill things down to what the fisherman’s term “bassy”, in such waters, actually means —to the bass. In this VFJ (#21) I’m providing the background for what we are going to see and do in VFJ’s 22, thru 24, where we’ll hit that dense slop water, and target feeding bass where they are at —in a few different scenarios.
