The International Bilateral Social Security Agreement between Brazil and the Czech Republic extends coverage to workers linked to the social security systems of both countries and avoids double taxation in cases of temporary displacement. The objective of the social security agreement is to ensure social security rights provided for in the legislation of both countries, so that the contribution time completed in both countries can be totaled for social security purposes. It is up to each contracting State to analyze the requests for benefits submitted and decide on the right and conditions, in accordance with its own applicable legislation and the respective Agreement. Interested parties who have met the requirements regulated by each country may apply for pension benefits with the local social security authority. 2. What are the direct impacts for Brazilian citizens living in the Czech Republic? Ensure that the time of social security contributions made in Brazil is counted and vice versa.
