Rise Of Nations | Raise Population and Commerce Limit

In this video I'll show you how to increase the population and commerce limit in Rise Of Nations. This works on all versions of rise of nations. If you own Thrones and Patriots you have to enter the subfolder before editing data. Before you start keep a copy of the original rules file incase you make a mistake or want to go back to deafult settings. I have provided the rules file i edited and a copy of original rules file. STEPS- -Go to Game installation location -Enter subfolder 'data' -Locate file 'rules.xml' -(back up original rules file) optional -Open 'rules.xml' with notepad search for (ctrl+f) pop_cap . Till you find this (or similar) POP_CAP entry0="25" entry1="50" entry2="75" entry3="100" entry4="125" entry5="150" entry6="175" entry7="200 pop cap" Edit it to what ever you like in an ascending order search for 'poplimits' till you find this' CATEGORIES id="poplimits" title="Population:" ' -Edit the data under ' CATEGORY name="50 " DATA50 /DATA etc' to correspond with the first part you edited (excluding your first entry) Save and replace the old file Now for commerce cap search for 'commerce_cap' this is what you'll find COMMERCE_CAP entry0="70" entry1="100" entry2="150" entry3="200" entry4="260" entry5="320" entry6="400" entry7="500 commerce cap"/ -Replace the numbers the way you feel like. -Save and replace old file. Note: For it to take effect you have to close the game and open it again.
