Demanding hard enduro riders have been modifying their dirt bikes for this brutal two-wheeled off-road competition since its inception in the 1990s. Now, KTM caters to the sport, which attained supreme status when the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship was inaugurated in 2021, with the new KTM 300 XC-W HardEnduro 2024. The 2024 KTM 300 XC-W HardEnduro is a beast of a machine designed to tackle the toughest off-road challenges. This motorcycle embodies the spirit of adventure and delivers outstanding performance in the most demanding environments. This powerful new 300cc 2-stroke powerplant not only brings new options to the E3 Enduro category but remains the ideal choice for Enduro riders who want maximum power and torque at the lowest possible weight. Power delivery is smooth and predictable, allowing the rider to maintain control on the technical front. The engine is paired with a precise six-speed transmission that allows the rider to easily navigate various driving scenarios. Maximum airflow with minimal water intrusion, a new air filter box is designed with precisely positioned inlet ducts aimed at preventing air deformation and maintaining filter protection. The transparent, polythene (XPE) fuel tank is a signature element of the KTM Enduro lineup with 2.37-gallon fuel capacity. These bikes are equipped with the highest quality components and materials, ensuring durability in extreme conditions. A new ultra-light subframe takes over the rear of the main frame, featuring 2-piece polyamide and reinforced aluminum construction. It features a fully adjustable WP XPLOR fork at the front and a WP XACT shock at the rear, offering excellent damping characteristics and superior control over rough terrain. The suspension is tuned for off-road performance, providing a luxurious ride while absorbing shocks effectively. The handlebar on features a newly designed bar pad and softer gray ODI lock-on grips for ultimate control. Slowing the KTM 300 EXC Hard Enduro comes courtesy of a floating front brake disc and solid brake disc on the rear. A full-factory wheelset consisting of high-strength black D.I.D wheels, black spokes and aluminum nipples. It's wrapped in a set of ultra-grippy Metzeler 6 days Extreme tires that provide excellent traction in all conditions. KTM equipped the 300 XC-W HardEnduro 2024 with several advanced features and technologies. An all-new Offroad Control Unit under the seat replaces all the electronic fuses and relays. The newly developed map select switch comes standard and allows for the easy selection of 2 unique engine maps. The motor is also equipped with an electric starter, ensuring fast and trouble-free starting, powered by an ultra-lightweight 2 Ah lithium-ion starter battery. The header pipe is designed with the target of achieving more ground clearance and reducing the risk of damage​ when riding over​ rough terrain. Lighting the way forward, the features a completely new LED headlight unit and light mask.
