This is a wild camping expedition to the Sanguang creek at the base of the 6000ft mountain known as Lengshan. The hiking trail down to the river is virtually unused being obstructed by fallen bamboo trees and loose shale rock under foot. The wild camping location is at the river after a short hike and located in an inaccessible area beside a little known hot spring. This area of the mountains is only used by the local Aboriginals for wild boar hunting (bullet casings found on this trip). Join me on this wild hiking adventure in the northern central mountains, camping in pure isolation at a raging river as I explore the hot spring. As the trails dissappear I fight my way up the mountain on my return journey through a maze of bamboo trees and long sharp blades of grass.
