First Day in Karachi Pakistan as Solo Female Traveller

First full day in Karachi, after a bit of a disaster of a travel/arrival day, i finally just decided i needed to be alone and go do what i love to do, and that’s just get lost in a city. This huge city with a population of over 20 million is quite unlike anywhere I’ve been before. I headed to the heart of the city and met some locals , in particular Khalid , who immediately invited me for tea and wandered around with me for a few hours. At no time did i feel unsafe or threatened, quite the opposite! I was looked after and introduced to everyone. Ive never been asked to be in so many selfies, and those that didn’t have a phone, insisted i take a selfie with them on my phone! Loveliest friendliest people ... a city with a turbulent past, that sadly many people still think is the same way..it’d definitely not! There are bad people everywhere, i felt safer here than NYC... people were so curious and protective towards me, it was quite a change :)
