"I killed my own family" | Malia Tate | TW

My sweet summer child. Malia really grew into her own throughout the course of Season 5. I can't believe that at the end of Season 4 I was dreading the Desert Wolf storyline - it ended up being one of my favorite parts of the season, and the storyline that made me fall in love with Malia. I've been working on this video for about a week. I probably could have finished it Thursday, had the trailer not set my Stydia feels alight and forced me to make a quick Stydia video. This one is far more thought out than that one and I'm pretty pleased with the editing in it. This song was pretty much made to be edited to. I heard it and KNEW I had to make a Malia edit with it. It kind of reminds me of a tragic fairytale, with a modern twist. And Malia's origin story is exactly like something out of a Grimm fairytale (or, as they say in the show, a Chinese folktale) which I used to find annoying, but now I've embraced it and I think it's actually rather poetic. We didn't see too much of what her plot line would be about in the Season 6 trailer, but she looked pretty badass and I'm excited to see her new uber-coyote powers in action. I'm also so proud of her heroic decisions in 5B and for overcoming her natural killer instinct. I do not own the song (title is in the thumbnail) or the TV show. I'm trying to teach myself editing techniques and am using Youtube as a platform to receive critique, not monetary compensation. Every video is made to support whatever material is being used.
