After countless hours of practice, it was finally time to take on the first race of Round 4 in the GTWS 2025 Manufacturers Cup! Qualifying I headed out first to get some clean air in this short session—one lap to make it count. The lap wasn’t perfect, but good enough to secure P4 on the grid on medium tyres. Race Strategy The plan was to run long on mediums, just in case the rain showed up, and monitor fuel closely to avoid a late pit stop. The opening laps went smoothly, tyres warmed up nicely, and it was time to settle in and hit those consistent lap times. Rain Incoming 🌧️ Rain arrived gradually, and I started noticing grip loss. A quick switch to TC1 helped keep things steady. The weather radar showed it wouldn’t worsen much, so I stuck to the plan: new mediums at the stop, no extra fuel. But coming back out, the track was wetter than expected—intermediates would’ve been the better call at that point. Holding On in Tough Conditions With low grip and a tricky surface, I turned up the TC again and carefully navigated through the sketchiest part of the race. Lost a few places to drivers on the right tyre, but I stayed on track and stuck to the long game. The Gamble Pays Off (Almost) As the track began to dry, cars on inters had to pit again. I was back in the game! But then—fuel warning light. Cue the stress. 😬 I had to short shift, lean out the fuel mix, and nurse the car to the finish. In hindsight, I wish I’d started fuel saving earlier when the pace was already slower. Final Result: P5 Not bad considering the conditions and the gamble. With better fuel management, a podium might’ve been within reach. Lessons learned, eyes forward to the next round. Apologies to Rico on Lap 19 🙏 Also, I need to apologise to Rico for clipping his rear bumper as he passed me on Lap 19. I was deep into fuel saving and adjusting the fuel map at the time, and honestly didn’t see him coming. If I had, I wouldn’t have moved back onto my usual racing line. Really sorry, mate—that one’s on me. 🎥 Watch the full, uninterrupted gameplay and race replay to catch every move, every strategy call, and every tense moment play out in real time! 👉 Don’t forget to Like, Comment, and Subscribe for more GT7 sim racing content! #GranTurismo7 #GT7 #GTWS #SimRacing #PS5Pro #RaceReplay #Motorsport #FuelStrategy #RainRace #GTWS2025 #gt7strategy Sessions 00:00 | Race Entry 16:56 | Qualifying 24:46 | Race 01:16:44 | Race End 01:22:33 | TV Cam Race Replay 02:22:33 | Cockpit Cam Race Replay 03:12:25 | End 🔧 My PlayStation 5 Pro Sim Racing Setup: • 🪑 Playseat Formula Intelligence (Racing Seat) • 🕹️ Thrustmaster T-GT II (GT Wheel & Base) • 🦶 Thrustmaster T-LCM (Load Cell Pedals) • 🏎️ Thrustmaster SF1000 (Formula Wheel) • 🕶️ PSVR2 (Virtual Reality Headset) • 📺 GT Omega (TV Stand) • 🎮 PlayStation 5 Pro • 🎧 Pulse Elite Headphones • 📺 Samsung 43" 4K Smart TV 📡 My Live Streaming Setup: • 🎥 Elgato 4K X (Capture Card) • 💻 MacBook Air M1 • 📺 OBS & Streamlabs Desktop • 🎤 Mic audio coming soon!
