Bruchhausen an den Steinen is located in the Medebachtal valley about eight kilometers south of the town of Olsberg. The Medebachtal runs directly east of the Ruhr Valley. The place is located on 450 m above NHN. The highest peak in the Bruchhauser region is located at the summit of the Langenberg at 843 m above sea level and is also the highest point of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. To the east of Bruchhausen are the Bruchhauser Steine, on the 728 meter high Istenberg. The natural monument Bruchhauser Steine with its Wallburganlage is well-known in the region.
