Wildlife Photography | VLOG - Day 2 | South Uist, Outer Hebrides, Scotland UK

My wildlife adventures continue in the Outer Hebrides. This video condenses my second full day in the Outer Hebrides, exploring and finding wildlife locations to revisit and stake out later in the week. Somehow it turned into a bit of a landscape kind of day. A selection of video and still photo highlights throughout the video of Eider Ducks, Seals, Oyster Catchers, Red Deer, Hen Harrier to name but a few, but a general explore today, venturing in to South Uist. Follow me as I drive from North Uist, through Benbecula and onto South Uist over the causeways that join them together. I spend some time exploring the area around Lochskipport, Locheynort and Frobost Beach. Once again I was greeted with many sightings of the Short Eared Owl throughout the day, but I have to say, day 2 is rounded off with another magnificent sunset and a fly by from the majestic female hen harrier – what a sight. I initially thought it was a hen harrier then doubted myself thinking it may have been a marsh harrier, but on closer inspection (unless someone tells me differently) I believe the white rump identifies it to be the female Hen Harrier. Lots of travel today in today’s video I’m afraid, sightseeing and looking for locations to revisit later in the week in an attempt to get closer to the wildlife.
