Gideon is my least favorite mandatory boss in the game, and it really shows for low damage runs (maybe it's a sign I'm bad at PVP?). I tested a bunch of different weapons and strategies for melee, but it felt way too RNG-dependent. Maybe if you have enough patience you can learn how to properly handle the triple ring spam. Turning this into a ranged fight made it way easier. I had already used Lightning Spear against the Red Wolf, but it's not against the rules I set for myself to use spells multiple times. Run rules: 1. Rune Level 1 2. No weapon upgrades 3. Each boss has to be defeated by a different weapon (or spell) 4.
