Prof. Dr. Rajesh Sinha is functioning as a Professor of Ophthalmology in the Cornea, Cataract & Refractive surgery services at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, AIIMS, New Delhi. He was honored with “Dr Neelima Pawade Oration and Achievement Award” at 40th Annual VOS Convention and “Gold Medal” by Indian Intraocular Implant and Refractive Society for his contributions in Ophthalmic Research. Around 1.5 million people suffer from corneal blindness, out of which 80% cases are preventable. But only 10% of eye transplantation demands are met due to lack in availability of corneas.
