Count this as the latest addition to my series, A Journal For Mrs Chee Kee. The first snowstorm arrived the night after Christmas—perfect timing for winter outdoor scenes. I initially drove to nearby Wadsworth Falls, hoping to capture a frozen waterfall, but the parking lot was buried under a foot of snow, stopping my sedan cold. (A taller SUV made it through, though. Ugh.) Scrambling for a comparable yet accessible alternative, I headed straight to Old Wethersfield. With its deep history, classic Georgian architecture, and quintessential New England charm, it’s always a fail-safe subject.
