Here's the reason that "ported" Prince racquets (O3, Speedport & EXO3) pose certain issues while attempting to tension the cross strings & why I use/recommend the 50-50 method when installing the crosses. In addition to recommending the 50-50 method, I also discuss many of the creative methods that people have come up with over the years for dealing with "ported" frames (Prince boomerangs, the "hip method", S-hooks, Sharpie caps, clothes pins, etc.), as well as WHY each of them don't work extremely well. Note: In the video, I did forget to specifically mention the "brake method" (which employs the use of the turntable brake). However, the "brake method" shares the same pitfall/issue that the "hip method" poses. Further note: If your stringing machine uses floating/flying clamps OR has glide bar clamps (i.e. Neos 1000, etc.), you are able to use the 50-50 method WITHOUT needing a starting clamp at all.
