Juvie flew in to LOP and was perched there and was tracking a sub adult or immature eagle flying past the nest. Bodie saw it and promptly returns to the nest. Juvie comes to the nest for a short time but then went back to LOP. After going up and down sunset a few more times, Bodie set its sights on joining Juvie over on LOP. Bodie flew off the nest to LOP and Juvie tries to get out of Bodie's way but they both go down. According to AEF: "Both ended up heading off and per reports from the ground, they both spread their wings and both flew down to the left and immediately turned and returned to the nest tree. Bodie made an awkward clumsy landing on some thin branches but held on and found her way to a solid branch. She perched there for most of the day, taking off around 5 pm, circling the tree, landing on Cam Branch and then making her way to the nest. Home safe and sound! " Bodie was seen on the branch below the nest from cam 1 and Cam 3 for 8 hours before flying off and circled the nest tree and landed on Cam branch! Wow Bodie WTG! AEF has confirmed Bodie officially fledged at 09:09am! In the late afternoon, Juvie flew in to the wallenda branch, Bodie goes to the nest. Juvie joins Bodie and they have two squabbles on the nest! Juvie will fly off and Bodie waits on the nest for a fish since missing an earlier fish delivery that Juvie ate. Bodie has something in the left eye - might be a feather or gunk from the activity today. What a big adventure for Bodie who is now an official fledgling! ♥ We are all very proud of Bodie!
