Today marks the 3rd anniversary of Cory Allan Michael Monteith. So in honor of today, I created this video, mostly because if I made one just for him I wouldn’t have finished it because of all the tears clouding my vision. I didn’t know Cory, but I felt like I did. People become attached to certain people in the world because they inspire them, and that’s how I felt about him. I believe that this is by far the best video I will ever create and by a long shot the most important video to me. When I was finishing up the last couple of minutes of this very I started sobbing (even though I did that throughout the process of it) because it kind of felt like I could see how much Glee meant to me and to who I am today. Glee was my first fandom and Finn and Rachel was my first OTP. The love between Finn and Rachel wasn’t perfect, but it showed me what real love was like. Cory and Lea were and still are my two role models in life and in love. Glee was the show that taught me everything I know. How to be brave, smart but still a little stupid sometimes, to dream, to be accepting of everyone no matter what race, gender, or sexual orientation they have, and most of all how to be me. Glee will always have a special place in my heart and will always mean something to me because it made me, me. And I cannot give the amount of gratitude or justice that it deserves in a video or an infinite amount of words.
