University of British Columbia (UBC ) is the oldest university in British Columbia. This university ranks among the top three universities in Canada Ranked, and the 34th best university in the world in the 2020, consistently ranked among the top 20 public universities in the world, and recently recognized as North America’s most international university. University of British Columbia (UBC ) is one of the most diverse populations of international students in Canada, with students from more than 150 countries. Each year University of British Columbia (UBC ) welcomes around 65,000 students, including domestic and international students, and they are very well-qualified students. UBC has two campuses — one in Vancouver and the other in Kelowna. The main campus is in Vancouver and has more than 400 hectares in size. The campus is covered with greenery all over and surrounded by forest on three sides and ocean on the fourth, and is just a 30 minute bus ride to Vancouver's downtown core. The campus has been located on this site for most of its 100-year history; a location that is the traditional territory of the Musqueam people.
