During my chats with Sayenjin, I learned that the Nicois player Ben214, Sayenjin’s best friend, passed away in 2020 in a tragic bike accident at the age of 32. This was a sobering reminder that life is short, and that we should, like Ben, find the things in life that are meaningful to us and give it our fullest. I do not know much about Ben, but what little I learned about him left an impression. This video is based on interviews and ancient forum threads scoured through archive.com. Some details may be misremembered, and at times I’ve made educated guesses to connect the pieces. Think of this as the most complete picture we can draw, though not a flawless one. Special thanks to @ThaRixer for giving me advice for storytelling and editing, @crashteamalphing for collecting the early records data, Sayenjin for always replying when I have questions, and of course Arsene Lupin for making CTR4ever and the entire original French Community.
